Quarantine Hobby Turned Small Business

At the beginning of the pandemic, sisters Morgan Gardner, Iowa State, and McKenna Gardner, Butler, began baking for fun and sharing their tasty creations with friends and family. It didn’t take long before people were asking to place orders and buy cookies from the pair. Now, they run a small business — MM Cookie.
Morgan and McKenna’s love for cookies started as they grew up baking with their mom and grandma. “It was the best when we would go to my grandmas’ and her cookie jar was empty, so we would bake,” shares Morgan.
The frosting on top of this new business adventure? McKenna loves getting to spend all the time hanging out with her sister as they’re baking the day away. Morgan says she loves seeing how happy the customers are and knowing they love the cookies as much as she does.
